Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is situated in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. The tiger reserve spans over an area of 625 sq km. The forest consists of Teak, Mahua, Palash, Arjun and other trees. Various wild animals including tiger, leopard, panther, sambhar, hyena, chital, bear and bison are sighted in this jungle. During the winter hundreds of migratory birds visit the lake in this forest. The Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve remains open from November to June. Jungle safari is conducted two times a day - in the morning and in the afternoon. The reserve remains closed on every Tuesday.
Getting There
The nearest major railway station is Nagpur. Nagpur enjoys excellent rail connectivity with other parts of the country. Moharli, the main gate to the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve is 180 km from Nagpur. Moharli is also easily accessible from Chandrapur railway station which is 45 km away.
