Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary

Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary is situated close to Gorumara National Park in West Bengal. Though the forest is relatively small, it hosts a variety of flora and fauna. The forest is famous for its elephant population. You can also see one-horned Rhinoceros, Gaur, deers, Nilgai and reptiles here. One can also witness a huge number of species of birds at Chapramari. The sanctuary remains closed from 16th June to 15th September.


Getting There

The nearest railway station is New Mal Junction. From there cars are available on hire basis to get to Chapramari. Distance is 30 km.
