Raidak

Raidak Forest is situated near Alipurduar in West Bengal. On the way to Raidak one will see lush green tea gardens on the sides of the road. A number of species of birds such as parrots, koel, bulbuli, lalmunia are seen here. This forest is also inhabited by wild pigs, Gaur, elephants and several other animals. The calm forest, cascading rivers and majestic hills will make you mesmerized. The best time to visit Raidak is October to January.


Getting There


The nearest railway station is New Alipurduar which is well connected to Kolkata and other parts of India. From New Alipurduar one can get bus or jeep to reach Shamukkhola. Raidak Forest is just 3 km from Shamukkhola.
