Bethuadahari

Bethuadahari is a calm, serene and peaceful forest situated in Nadia district in the state of West Bengal. A wildlife sanctuary has come up at Bethuadahari which spans over an area of 165 acres. Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary is actually a deer park. More than 500 deers inhabit this forest. Other animals which are found in Bethuadahari include wild cats, peacocks, snakes and various species of birds. It is the perfect destination for those who love nature. You can also visit Palashi, 24 km from here. The battle of Plassey was fought between Siraj Ud Daulah and Robert Clive at the grounds of Palashi.


Getting There

Bethuadahari railway station is well connected to Kolkata by train. Kolkata enjoys excellent connectivity with the rest of the country. You can reach the sanctuary from Bethuadahari station by rickshaw. Buses are also available from Kolkata to Bethuadahari.

Staying There
