Gorumara National Park

Gorumara National Park is situated in the Indian state of West Bengal. Located at a distance of 50 km from Jalpaiguri town, the forest covers an area of 80 sq. km. In this national park, one can see the great Indian rhinoceros, Asian elephants, leopards, chitals, gaur, sambhar and many other species of deers. You will also see innumerable peacocks dancing. There are four watch towers - Rhino point, Yatraprasod and Chukchuki. In winter lots of birds can be seen at Chukchuki. The Gorumara National Park remains closed from 10th June to 15th September.


Getting There

The nearest railway station from Gorumara National Park is New Mal Junction. The station enjoys well connectivity with the rest of the country. Hired cars are available from the station to reach Lataguri. Buses are also plying from Siliguri town to Gorumara National Park.
