Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National Park is situated in the region between Aravali and Vindhya ranges. The forest is located at a distance of 12 km from Sawai Madhopur. It received the status of national park in the year 1980. Ranthambore Fort is situated atop a hill. At present there are around 50 tigers in Ranthambore. Various species of birds like Common Kestrel, Red Rumped Swallow, Woolly Necked Stork, Brown Rock Chat, Spotted Owlet are seen here. Langur, leopards and sloth bears are also seen at Ranthambore.


Getting There

The nearest railway station is Sawai Madhopur. Ranthambore National Park is 12 km from Sawai Madhopur.
